It happens to me too.
New Zabbix 2.0 deployment, but the clients are old (1.8 mostly)
Network seems ok (ping, dns, etc).
The zabbix_get returns the value immediately.
The DB tuned regularly according the increasing number of data.
The host are accessed via IP not by DNS name.
No long running mysql queries (Slow queries: 0% (34/19K)).
I have reduced some keys from 30 sec to 60, hence the drop (did not help):
I have no idea where to look for the root of the problem, please advise.
