I just setup an active proxy in our office. We currently use proxies elsewhere, so I feel somewhat familiar with the concept... We are running Zabbix 2.0.9.
I'm seeing big empty spaces in the graphs for devices. The proxy has a direct ethernet connection to the switches from which the graphs below are coming. The office internet is also really fast.
There would be lots of other symptoms if was a significant networking problem in the office or with the office Internet connection...so I don't think it's that.
Maybe points to communications issues between server and proxy during this time?
The dropouts show in all SNMP collection / graphs for the but not for the ICMP data.
Also, the dropouts happen on both Ubiquiti and HP nodes...so likely not related to an SNMP problem specific to the device type.
