Hello everybody, please forgive me as I inherited our zabbix from the previous admin and I'm having some issues.
We were running version 1.8.1, and I have migrated it to 2.0.9. Everything there went fine, but we have had this issue (I'm told for a couple years at least) where zabbix-agentd starts reporting back with an empty string. I can resolve it by logging onto the remote host and restarting the process. The problem is, I don't get any alerts.
Is there something in the configuration where I can tell zabbix to alert me automatically without have to go through Configuration -> Hosts and look through them all? I'm currently monitoring over 200 hosts and will be expanding to over 1500 within the next year or two. So this is absolutely critical to find a resolution. Any help is greatly appreciated.
