Hi all.
First let me say that I'm fairly new to Zabbix. I have been able to setup custom templates and monitor a variety of different values (temp, humidity, cpu, fan speed, etc.). I have encountered a problem when I want to monitor a specific value in Mikrotik device. This value is a total registered wireless users at one time per AP.
The OID I need to monitor is .1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.1.3.1.6.6. The problem is because the last digit (.6) is a designator for a specific wireless adapter, so it differes from router to router. I got an answer from Mikrotik support, that I should just delete the last number and I should get a total(combined) value of all wireless users on all adapters per AP. OK, this is exactly what I was looking for but it does not work with zabbix. I can SNMPwalk this OID and I get a value returned which is correct, but Zabbix gets no data whatsoever. I create an item with SNMP2 support, enter correct OID and that should be it right?
Can anyone help me? I'm a bit lost.
