I am new to Zabbix and have configured the system with about 20 hosts on it at the moment.
I just have a quick question regarding Regular Expressions and the Windows Service Discovery rules. I have the default Template OS Windows on all hosts and I am now seeing that after disabling specific services from being monitored (seems to happen after service discovery is done again), the disabled services get enabled again and start sending notifications again. Examples of these are "wuauserv", "BITS" and the likes.
I have searched on the internet and the forum before asking and came across Regular Expressions where I have added the above services under "[Result is FALSE]" type. This does not seem to have had any affect and they still get rediscovered. After this I found another post which said you need to set "Keep lost resources period (in days)" to zero and have it clear everything before setting it back to a couple of days. I tried this, with restarting the Zabbix server afterwards, and still it does not work.
Please assist me with what I am doing wrong? Thank you very much in advance!
