I have upgrade Zabbix from 3.4 to 4.0.5.
since the upgrade i cannot monitor hosts with active checks.
Solution tried:
- installed a zabbix agent 4.0.5 on a windows host. set the necessary configuration for active checks and i got the following error in the log file:
4196:20190324:101121.891 active check configuration update from [192.168.0.76:10051] started to fail (ZBX_TCP_READ() timed out)
There are more than 100 hosts in the zabbix server that use active agent 3.4 (for now) and they are working fine, whenever i restart one of them the start to fail with the same error as the new host im trying to monitor.
what should i check in order to understand the problem?
telnet to port 10051 is working fine.
