so we have recently upgraded our environment to version 4.2 on the Zabbix server and the Zabbix Proxies, my problem is that 99% of our 2000 servers being monitored over 22 different environments all have different versions of the agents running, they range anywhere from 2.4 to 3.2
So after the upgrade the defaults agent.ping trigger stopped working correctly so I get a lot of false alerts for server availability.
Is there a better way to monitor server availability and if so how can I do it?
Then also after the upgrade we found that all servers that has multiple Templates linked to them causes the Latest data screen to time out before it can load.
Before the question comes up about DB performance, there is no problem there. Any server that has an OS template and a Performance metric template linked to it works fast and fine but the moment I call a server with an OS, Performance and Big application template (Like SQL will multiple DB's) then it time outs on the load on the Latest data screen. where can I look and what can it be.
With the latest data problem can it help to change the php.ini load timeout to be longer than the required settings for Zabbix Frontend?
