2.2 Vsphere discovery deletes existing hosts

Hi All
We have recently upgraded from 2.0 to 2.2 and implemented auto discover from Virtualcenter.

Is there a way to perform a discovery of ESX and append existing hosts? I need to keep the history from these servers and was hoping to keep the data
