Hello!
I need help with a problem that I can't solve.
Zabbix database is growing about 1gb per day.
So far I've modified all kinds of templates to pull data less frequently and ditch the history quicker.
Also I've went through all hosts that has unsupported or faulty items.
Housekeeping is running every two hours and allowed to delete max 1 million rows.
The problem is that housekeeping is not deleting anything. The databases grows all the time.
Even if I run it manually the rows size keeps growing.
The database tables looks like this (tables with the issues):
+----------------------------+------------+-------------+--------------+------------+
| table_name | table_rows | data_length | index_length | Size in MB |
+----------------------------+------------+-------------+--------------+------------+
| history | 135415197 | 14654128128 | 11346378752 | 24796.02 |
| history_log | 265 | 638976 | 638976 | 1.22 |
| history_str | 4446364 | 1278492672 | 738115584 | 1923.19 |
| history_text | 4706514 | 1069170688 | 528482304 | 1523.64 |
| history_uint | 361358160 | 46226751488 | 32908902400 | 75469.64 |
| trends | 25859673 | 2624061440 | 0 | 2502.50 |
| trends_uint | 93321043 | 8334868480 | 0 | 7948.75 |
I attached a text file to this message if you have hard time reading the rows above
The database size is getting way out of hand. The database consists of about 600 hosts including win/linux servers, snmp devices and ipmi devices.
Is there any way to manually delete the old data as the housekeeping doesn't delete enough?
