    help with palo alto firewall

we've been utilizing the zabbix appliance (it was at ver 4.02 for almost 1 yr) and working fantastic... i have switches in there as well as the palo alto - which also worked fine. Last week i had upgraded the palo alto to a new firmware (8.1.11) and that killed our interface graphs.
i did go and upgrade zabbix to 4.4 now - so everything i've tried to troubleshoot has now been on the 4.4 version

i could look at sub-interface info fine. (AE#.###) but if i looked at AE# itself - nothing.. or ETH1/# i would get no data.
i can see cpu /temp /session info ok.. so i know it is talking to the firewall fine.

I ran solarwinds engineer toolkit /network perf meter against the firewall - and initially got the same results. Found a setting in solarwinds that was not enabling 64 bit counters. i enabled it - and it then worked ok - i could see all the graph/data on all the interfaces.

back to zabbix - i did a search and found a template for 64bit for palo alto - i grabbed that and added it.

i still cannot see the data from those interfaces.

when i do a MIB walk - there are some 64 bit counters - but most of the interface data is still 32
I'm stumped and don't know what else to look at.
not a real expert in linux (i know enough to be dangerous) and obviously enough to get the appliance updated.

any ideas on what's killing this ?
Working...
