I'm using Zabbix for some years now and thought I got the point with templates their inheritance and so on. But obviously I'm missing some point.
While using mostly the standard templates, they match all my Linux servers with the basic "Template OS Linux".
But now I've set up some servers in a data center, which should not have checked i.e. Disk I/O load, Swap space.
Of course I can exclude these items while setting up the host, but I would like to make it a bit more generic:
Create a group "Template Cloud Servers" link Template OS Linux to it, and then exclude the unneeded items.
But I couldn't find a way to achieve this.
What am I missing, is there a recommended way to this?
