Hi all, I was curious if there is any facility for merging the historical data of a particular item into a different item? The issue I've run into is Cisco (stupidly) has no facility for preserving SNMP indexes of UCS server blade OID's across upgrades, or even reboots, of the UCS management fabric interconnects. I just completed an upgrade on a UCS cluster and the indexes of every single server's cpu temps, fan speeds, ambient temps, etc. have all reset to new values, which means Zabbix discovery picked them all up as 'new' servers, and there's no connection between all the collected historical data we rely on to spot trends heading in a bad direction slowly. Cisco TAC says too bad, you should monitor UCS using the built in functionality, as there is no equivalent to their IOS feature of persistent interface indexes.
Even if it's a pain and has to be done at the sql level, I'd love to merge the old data from the old indexes into the new ones; any guidance?
Thanks!
