I have made the configuration of zabbix so that it connects with vsphere and it works perfectly, it discovers all the elements, hosts, datastores and VMThe VMs incorporate them as zabbix host, with all its elements.
The question is, if in addition, these VMs have the Zabbix agent installed, how should it be configured in the system, that is, the VM is a Zabbix host discovered as part of VMware, but it does not consult the agent.
Of course, the option would be to register the hosts again, and indicate that it is the agent, but this way it would have two Zabbix hosts for each VM, and it doesn't seem like a good idea.
VM auto-discovery is fine, but the agent provides many more metrics that cannot be queried by VMware.
Any idea how to have the monitoring of a VM both from the point of view of VMware and Agent Zabbix?
