Houskeeping issue
Hello All,
When I run manually the Houskeeper on History and Trend on my Zabbix Server, it freez my Zabbix Server after 2 hours .
The houskeeping process seems to spend time on History and Trend, whearase we configured it to 10 and 15 days and we are not suposed to have values older than that.
The question is why is it frozen zabbix server after 2 hours?
My Houskeeper was deactivated on my Zabbix Server since 2 years as it was too long to run. (Maybe a wrong idea)
Instead of that I have used a partitionning of my database day by day on all history and trends table. I only keep 7 days of History and 14 days of Trend.
In addition a script is running to delete old Events (Problems and alerts are also deleted).
Following to many slow queries requests found in logs I started to do a cleanup of the database.
I wanted to reactivate the houkeeping to get a good cleaning.
Before to run the houskeeping on my Production zabbix server I tested it on my sandbox environement and get that in logs:
/usr/sbin/zabbix_server: housekeeper [deleted 106249 hist/trends, 47305138 items, 0 events, 0 sessions, 0 alarms, 0 audit items in 2554.828748 sec, idle for 1 hour(s)]
I well understand values for hist/trend as i had somme issues on my partitionning, but what is the '47305138 items' deleted?
In my database I foud : 645985 items and 516074 item_discovery wherease I count 505405 items in Administration/Proxies page.
What are all these items?
I have also see that the database have grown at the begining of the Houskeeping task.
What is stored on the database by the Houskeeping as it grows of 1Go on my sandbox and 7Go on my Production environemnt during the cleaning?
After a first failure on my Production environement, I deleted tables older than 2 days and emptied the parent table also. I get the same freez issue after 2 hours (1Go grows only).

Database Postgres 9.5, 53Go
1 frontend, 1 server/database, 7 Proxies
Zabbix Server : RedHat7, 8 CPU (5.26GHz), 32Go Ram
Prod: 6500 Assets, 505405 Items, 860 vps
SandBox: 344 Assets, 24683 items, 57 vps
