Zabbix task manager processes more than 75% busy - is hung

Hi,
A few weeks ago we had an event flood, 40K events were generated due to an issue.
Since then zabbix task manager is alerting about 'Zabbix task manager processes more than 75% busy'
and the alert is open for 6 weeks already.

Any idea how can i resolve this issue?

Zabbix server 4.0.2. + MySQL
