Using sysObjectID to dynamically link template?

Hello all,

Is there a method to use the sysObjectID SNMP OID to dynamically link a template that relates to that sysObjectID?

I am looking at APC devices, for example, and I was wondering if I could have templates for each type of APC object. Then detect object of device through sysObjectID and link related specific template through a macro or some other method.
