Next week I plan to transition our Zabbix 4.2 server (CentOS 7 VM) to dedicated hardware (CentOS 8) and also upgrade to 5.2 in the process.
I setup the environment and copied over all the customizations I made on our current server. This has all gone well so far aside from getting the MYSQL partitioning going which I will figure out soon enough.
My question; which tables are critical to be backed up? I don't want to carry over any of the history and I am a little worried that my old database is partially corrupt so I only want to bring over the bare minimum.
I care about:
- Hosts
- Templates
- Host Groups
- Actions
- Users
- User Groups
- Maps
- Scripts
- Media Types
I think that's everything. Can anyone tell me what tables I need to bring over to retain my existing settings? Does it make more sense to import some of this with XML files where possible?
Thanks!
