List of metric for me in XLS format from existing and custom templates.

Got an odd request for you:
The company CEO has asked me to "Please extract the list of metric for me in XLS format" so that he may share same with a client.
Since the search terms are too generic and "metric" is so widely used, not getting much success in the forums or on Google.
Was thinking as a last resort to try and parse the templates XML, if you guys know of a better way or if the info is already readily available please share.
