I'm trying to work out if it's possible to detect the presence and status of vmtools on the guests using the inbuilt vmware monitoring? It's not in the list of standard functions and I can't seem to find a performance counter that will do this.
Previously we were using vmbix (which could do this), but it seems that's now a dead project and not updated post 5.0
