I like to start with Zabix in my new job, and we got 6.0 LTS as a gift this week, I did a new installation on some random hardware at home as a test or pre-POC
My DB admin pointed me to PostgreSQL, as it would help us to keep it manageble once this is introduced to the workfloor.
The dynamic installation instructions from "https://www.zabbix.com/download" are great!
I used 6.0 LTS + Ubuntu + 20.04 + PostgreSQL + Apache .
This led me straight to the Web based start on the Zabbix server, no problems.
But there I missed the info on the field Database Schema ?
I left it blank and was able to log in to the GUI, but there is "no zabbix server running" and I need to fix things. :
Q1 ) What documentation part did I miss, or is this a hint to create that part ?
Q2 ) Can I trigger the web installation part again with http://your-ip/zabbix/setup.php but what is the value for a plain , and brand new installation.?
Q3 ) What alternative place ( in zabbix-server.conf ? ) can I use to insert this missing value ?
