i'm looking for solution howto fix this:
So firstly i'm collecting Hyper-V virtual Machines with zabbix agent which is installed on virtual machine.
Particular item which is causing me issues is free disk space item (vfs.fs.size[c:,free]).
I have created "generic" template Windows - disks in which i have addedd items for drive letters from c:\ to H:\ vfs.fs.size[c:,free]-vfs.fs.size[H:,free]. SO collecting this items works fine until:
i'm using backup software veeam which is application awarneand is using during snapshot creation temporary disk(VHD) and attaches that disk into virtual machine. So if server has 2 disk (C and D) then veeam adds temporarily e:\ for couple of seconds/minutes etc... Ofcourse this disk is large and nevertheless the size of this disk is full or almost full. So When couincidence happens when Veeam creates that disk and zabbix servers collects information from that server about disk info he gets also e drive into database.
Now issue comes. When veeam removes that disk from server zabbix does not remove warrning from TOP20 gadget. So only option to delete warning from TOP20 gadget is to delete server from inventory and readdit and wait until zabbix and veeam meet each other
So when i'm having around 100+ servers this can be quite pain when lots of warning but none of them are "legal"..
In Top20 issues Info column i see question marks with "Unable to gather filesystem information, not supported by zabbix agent" which is true because disk is added into server everytime when backup is started and afterwards is removed.
Im using generic template (from c-H disk) because i have so many servers and don't want to add disk drives manually and if in the "middle" of server lifetime add some aditional disk zabbix automatically adds disk to inventory..
Any solutions/proposals ?
