I have two specific hosts that immediately after a reboot work. One is a Windows 7 machine with the Zabbix Agent. The other is a Server 2008R2 machine with the zabbix agent.
Once the agent quits working on can no longer telnet from the agent to the service. I can however telnet from the server to the agent, however, if I issue a command like agent.version it times out after a few seconds. During all of this I can continue to ping the agent from the server and from the server to the agent.
I see a lot of errors on the clients about TCP_READ
On the server I see that the host goes unavailable and than comes backup up and just starts to bounce back and forth.
I feel like something in the server is seeing this as a malicious connection and blocking the IPs associated. That being said I can't find anywhere in my centos install that would do this. (I am not an expert in Linux so I am floundering a bit here.) I cannot find anything in any log. I took a TCPDUMP on the server and you can see the request hit the server and than it keeps asking for TCP RETRANSMISSION.
I have wasted probably 10 hours on this and am hoping that someone can guide me in the right direction.
Thanks.
