I've been using Zabbix many years ago and was able to configure simple ICMP and TCP service check with ease.
Now, returning to Zabbix again, using a 6.2.4 release , I'm unable to add ICMP ping or HTTP Service template to a host, since I don't see an option to just reference IP/DNS for the host in Interface selection. What is the correct way to do this?
Can I add another interface type for simple checks?

Update: looks like I can use an Agent interface for ICMP and HTTP service checks, but this does not make host "available", instead listing it as unknown. Is there a trick to making simple agentless check declare host available?
