CRC monitor

I am looking for some insight. I have the OID.1.3.6.1.2.1.16.9.1.1.2.329 = STRING: port %s-Excessive CRC/alignment errors. See help.

My goal when a port reports a CRC error I see it. Everytime I create an item with this OID all I get back is "port %s-Excessive CRC/alignment errors. See help"

please advise this is an Aruba/HP switch.
