Hopefully someone can help out here. We don't have any desire to use IPv6 in our environment, and currently IPv6 ICMP isn't allowed on our firewalls. Zabbix and the hosts I'm having trouble with are in separate network zones.
I'm using the VMWare template to add a vCenter host and pull in all child host items via discovery. The discovery works great, it gets all of the items related to the hypervisor hosts and reports them fine. However, during discovery, Zabbix is getting the hypervisor IPv6 address, and because IPv6 ICMP is not allowed on our network, they are reporting as down.
Is there anything I can do to force Zabbix to use the IPv4 address during discovery or manually plug in the IPv4 address on a discovered host?
