Summary - How do I pass information from triggers within a script

I'm trying to create a script that allows us to manually create a ticket within our helpdesk. I simply want the engineers to click on flagged issues and then decide whether they generate a support ticket in our helpdesk, be it via email or a direct API call.

The API call or email is the easy part. The bit I can't work out, is getting that extra information from the trigger.

I've tried a number of variables, and searched the forum for ideas.

Can some point me in the right direction, or is it actually possible?
