Here is my dream, and so far I haven't been able to bring it to life, as I am learning all of this from the ground up and thankfully this isn't our production monitoring solution (yet). I want to do a Geo map, where I have my tags for my 5 locations, be it the generic pin, or the emblem of the location, what have you, I understand that part, and I can get it to change color ect when an error comes up.
I want to be able to 'double click' it when it alarm, and have it expand to the infrastructure in that location, showing all the devices, green good, red bad ect, then be able to expand the alarming device, to show what's wrong, or list on click or mouse over for non admins.
The closest i've been able to come is a Navigation tree, but it doesn't allow for the investigation part, and I haven't figured out if it's even possible to get Zabbix to open a window for server, show the errors, then 'close' it back to the map with a common "X" button.
For those of you who might have been in the game awhile (like me, started as 'eyes on glass' 22 years ago) i'm looking for like a CA-Unicenter or BMC patrol type functionality with the glorious look feel and reporting that Zabbix gives us.
