Ok, don't know if I missed something somewhere or not. Other systems I have used will use SNMP to discover devices on the network as long as you provide the community string. The one thing I cannot wrap my head around is this SNMP OID field. How do I know what that is if the devices haven't been discovered yet? Isn't that the point of using SNMP discovery? If I already know all of that then I can just manually add the device. Isn't there a default OID? Am I simply not understanding how this was designed?
