I use a template to discover information about Cisco 9400.
I've added a Discovery to extract by SNMP a specific group of tools linked to this Cisco.
With an Item prototype I can check by Simple Check the icmpping of these tools. The number of tools are dinamic: can be added or removed.
When no response to icmpping the Trigger prototype elevate a Problem.
My goal is to have and Alert when no response to icmpping for ALL tolls discovered.
My solution was to use an External Script that by API read the last value of Item prototype (flagged by specific Tag) and if the result is 0 (no icmpping) for all Item prototype I elevate a Problem.
My question is: there are other solution in your opinion that permit to NOT use external script?
