I've successfully used the LLD switch interface discovery, but now I would like to customize specific items for specific switches.
Is there a simple way to convert the dynamic discovery template into a static template? For instance we have dozens of specific switch models so I would be fine creating a static template for that model, but would prefer not to have to manually define all 1000+ Items. Preferably, something that takes the discovered results and makes that a static (non-discovery) template.
Further and most important. I would then like to change the intervals for just specific interfaces. I'm interested in monitoring switch trunk ports with very small time intervals, but I'm okay with larger intervals for all of the rest of the interfaces. This is easy with static templates, but I don't know how to do that with discovered interfaces.
I did find a post that suggested a database UPDATE command, but it was incomplete.
Thanks,
Bill
