I don“t know why zabbix doesn't have a reachability check like nagios, I mean, just send a ping and if there is no response, trigger an alarm.
So, what I did after searching some info in Google is to configure a trigger like this:
{192.168.21.235:sysUpTime.nodata(1m)}=1
The problem is that I'm getting a lot of false positives, for example, a lot of hosts where declared down in the problems view but none of the hosts was really down.
Could it be my server that is not being capable to process all the zabbix job?
Currently I have more than 200 hosts in a Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7600 @ 3.06GHz machine with 4GB of RAM.
How can I conffirm this?
