The documentation for low-level discovery says this about the "delete lost resources" configuration:
I'm guessing that "manually disabled resources" means any resource that has been disabled by something other than the "disable lost resources" function. At least it means all items that were created disabled.
I'm creating discovered switch interfaces as disabled because I don't want to monitor every single switch port. I just manually enable some items for the ports that I'm actually interested in.
If a port on a switch is later disabled on the switch by the switch administrator I end up with undiscovered items in Zabbix that won't be deleted by LLD because LLD treats the items in Zabbix as manually disabled.
I wonder what the rationale is behind that.
Is there a particular reason for not deleting disabled items?
