Hi
We're in the process of setting up monitoring for some services.
We would like to spot regional network issues that affect the services. For instance there could be a network issue on the path between the Zabbix server and the system offering the service, which results in a reported service outage. But the service might work fine from the rest of the internet.
Zabbix has the concept of proxies. So we would like to use them in a number of different locations, to monitor the same system. By using some sort of quorum it should be possible to better establish the service status.
Is this something that is possible?
I've searched for information, but the only thing I could find was on setting up a Zabbix server in a distributed fashion (this will be needed as well - but that's another topic).
Many thanks
Dick Visser
