Hi,
I consider to use Zabbix to monitor a Microsoft Azure cloud environment. I understand that this is possible but I am looking for an article or documentation how to configure.
The best I could find was the following link: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Fo...inesforWindows
Is there anything else?
I could not find anything on the Zabbix forum!
I know that Zabbix could either be run inside the cloud (on MS Azure) or outside on a dedicated server.
Appriate Ports must be opended within MS Azure.
Also the MS Azure servers should/could run the Zabbix agent for communication with the Zabbix server.
I also read about a Zabbix plugin for MS Azure - what exactly is it? How to use it?
I understand that this plugin must be installed on the Zabbix server - right?
The best information on this plugin that I could find is:
https://azure.microsoft.com/de-de/re...bix-templates/ and
https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/int...windows-azure/ (4 years old!)
Other (commercial?) management tools use an API-approach towards MS Azure to get relevant operational data.
However I can live with an agent approach!
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks
Wolfgang
