Hola, me gustaria saber si a traves del API de ZABBIX, hay algun metodo o parametro para obtener el trafico de la red. He buscado en su pagina oficial y no lo encuentro.

Can you be more specific ?

Do you want to monitor Network traffic on some interface via API ?

You can create an item in Zabbix that collects those metrics, and then you can get historical data from that item with Zabbix API

Estoy intentando obtener la misma información. Al parecer es necesario el metodo history.get. Sin embargo me pide un número de item y no sé cual poner. Tuviste éxito con algo?

Hola robertogarcia.

Pude resolver el asunto con ayuda. Te cuento como se logro obtener la informacion:

Con Host.get, Item.get, y finalmente History.get.

Con Host.get obtienes el hostid que deseas buscar, a ese host le buscas los items, al consultar los items, usaras los que tienen en la propiedad "name": "Incoming traffic on interface $1" y "name": "Outgoing traffic on interface $1" (ya que un host puede tener varias interfaces por lo que he visto)...

Ahi tendras el itemid del incoming traffic de ese item de ese host, y el outgoing. Luego, con el history.get la propiedad "value" es el valor en bps del incomingo/outgoing (dependiendo del que visualices), ya despues de ahi resuelves...
