Newbie Quest - Banally PING & GRAPH - important
Hi All, i've 3 triggers:
1) I can't understand how to check link up/down between a router and server. I've made a link connection between them in my map and set as link status indicator the following "icmpInEchoReps on MYHOST is too High" , if it is true the link is red , otherwise green. Is it correct?
2) Is possible to check if the hosts are alive with a banally ping?
Ex:
Host 1 is up - pinging it - it respond - OK STATUS
Host 1 is down - pinging it - it doesn't respond - FAILURE STATUS on map
Easy, but not so much if you configured an host as SNMP as in my case for Gateway router.
3) How can i create a bandwith graph for my GW Router?
I've set as value ifinOctects1 but it going up up up to infinite... isn't possible!
