I'm struggling with setting up Windows disk perfmon triggers that report on block size, disk response time, etc.
Different combinations of partition/volume drive letters are configured on different physical disks which are indicated in the windows perf counters as disk 0, disk 1, etc.
For example, to monitor the block size on drive D: I'd have to configure items for both Drive D: on physical disk 0, and perhaps physical disk 1 or even 2 or 3 or greater. The number of permutations makes this quickly unmanageable if there is a diverse population of disk configurations.
Is there a better way to monitor disk response time, block size, trend work loads, etc. in zabbix.
Yes I know that I'm extending the purpose a bit beyond the original scope, but I'd really like to use zabbix for this purpose to reduce complexity on other fronts.
