I recently completed an upgrade from 1.1.7 to 1.4.2, and I am very pleased by the new features and capabilities. There is one issue that has caused me some confusion, however. While running Zabbix 1.1.7, I used a Windows "Active Desktop" item on my workstation to monitor an "Overview" screen I had created. After the upgrade, I can still browse to this screen from my workstation, using either Firefox or IE, but the Active Desktop item always returns the Zabbix Frontend "Installation" page. I have adjusted the "guest" user permissions to view the screen, I have deleted all my cookies and cache, and have deleted and re-created the Active Desktop item several times, but to no avail.
Does anyone have an idea what else I might try? I use a multi-monitor setup, and having the Zabbix screen as the Desktop background on one of the monitors was a very useful tool. I'm very disappointed to lose it.
