the manual (rev 12) doesn't mention eventlogs, only Unix-style log files. Zabbix does support Windows-style eventlogs though, but apparently in a limited way. I can't see how I would make a item collect only Severity==Warning or Source==XYZ. The regexp in the key only looks at the Value field.
Actually this looks like another use for the view-item we've talked about before. My idea is: Make an item that collects the entire log. Make another that only works on the server, as a function of the first.
