Hello!
I want to try the jabber alerts.
Therefore i installed a client (Gajim) on my workstation and registered an account ([email protected]) to connect to with the client.
I compiled the zabbix server (1.4.4) --with-jabber and reinstalled it.
I put this into media:
Jabber [email protected] 1-7,00:00-23:59; NIWAHD Enabled
I didn't find any piece of information about how to install/config jabber, so i think it is really that simple.
However, it doesn't work:
Under "monitoring/actions" i see:
2008.Feb.29 11:58:11 Jabber not sent 0 [email protected]
The Log says:
24275:20080229:115444 JABBER: sasl authentication failed
24275:20080229:115449 JABBER: disconnecting
24275:20080229:115449 JABBER: receiving error [7][0]
24275:20080229:115449 JABBER: disconnecting
24275:20080229:115449 JABBER: sasl authentication failed
24275:20080229:115454 JABBER: disconnecting
24275:20080229:115454 JABBER: receiving error [7][0]
24275:20080229:115454 JABBER: disconnecting
24275:20080229:115455 JABBER: sasl authentication failed
Can you please help me here or post a link to any tutorial/howto covering this topic?

PS:
I lost my PW for my account [email protected].
Is there any faster possibility to get a new PW then sending an email to the admin of jabber.org?
