The trending feature is very usedful to analyze a service performance. But not all services need to be monitored on a continuous basis. For e.g. I have bacula or streaming service that need to be continuously monitored only when it is being used. As I stated earlier, the times at which these services run will also be pre-determined. Of course, its not a problem if zabbix is used with small number of systems, but if it grows then unnecessary monitoring might help. So, Is there a way to do that in current system or is there a plan to incorporate that feature in future.
