Help with suggestions on hardware setup for large environment

    Hi All!

I am about to roll out zabbix in a production environment, initially with around 850 hosts, but that will continue to grow to about 1000 within a year. My hardware is as follows:

2 db's each with following specs:
    16 cores
    24gb memory
    8 80gb ssd's

    1 app server:
    12 cores
    12 gb memory
    2 80gb ssd's

My question is on the setup for the db servers. I will make them in master/slave configuration, and I will use mysql and table partitioning. What do you thing the best raid setup on the ssd's for the db's will be:

    A) all 8 80gb ssd's in a raid10
    B) 2 ssd's in a raid1 for OS, 6 ssd's in a raid10 for db (~220gb usable)
    C) 2 ssd's in a raid1 for OS, 6 ssd's in a raid5 for db (~370gb usable)

Can anyone give advice on what the best raid setup will be for my db servers? And any other tips I should use to keep this system functioning without lag?

I have used the zabbix formulas to calculate my estimated db size will be around 195gb, and I will do other things like set update intervals to 120 seconds, delete HISTORY tables after 7 days, disable housekeeper, and use proxies.

    Any advice is much appreciated!
