To monitor some of my kit I have to use external scripts. Unfortunately I have allot of external scripts running at once.
What I would like is some sort of option for the server to limit the number of external scripts at any point in time.
I'm already converting the scripts to use zabbix_sender instead of individual external checks but I would much rather see an issue with too many external checks being a large external check queue and not a server with a load average of 60+.
This is even more annoying as the userbase then starts thinking the problem is with zabbix (as all monitoring gets affected when your server is running with a load average of 60+) and not with the author of the external script.
