Pre-processing SNMP query for complex data
I think it will be a nice feature if we can pre-process reply from snmp query which is encoded in octet string. There are plenty of useful statistical data stored this way (wireless statistic data from Atmel-based access point, for example).
IMHO if it is too complex to put in the ZABBIX code itself, at least it can be implemented by enabling user to point to another external program/script to process the data, then parsed its output into ZABBIX. It can also be a workaround for calculating other data as mentioned in this thread: http://zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1368
