I have linux application servers that run a few jvm applications say from 8 - 15.
Managing the jmx interface is a pain, I have to space our keynames because a lot of the variables I am looking for a duplicated.
Plus is a pain to have to associate the interface to the item.
If you could specify port as part of the key and still an interface that would solve a few of these problem.
if port was a parameter to jmx interface, it could over ride the port of the interface config.
