I am trying to run a Zabbix 1.4 agent as root using the "AllowRoot=1" paramter in the zabbix_agentd.conf file. I do not receive any error, but the agent is starting as "zabbix" user instead. I have tried removing the "zabbix" account, but the agent then reports that it can not run as root.
I have tried both the pre-compiled Zabbix 1.4.4 Agent downloaded from the Zabbix site as well as my own compiled 1.4.6 AIX agent. The results are the same with both.
Any ideas?
