Hi,
Currently I have a the trigger {host:agent.ping.nodata(700)}=1 for checking whether the Zabbix agent is responding to incoming request. The item it relies upon, agent.ping, is polled every 300 seconds. However, it has a tendency to flag up when - as far as I can tell - the machines have been polled for agent.ping within the last 700 seconds. Incidentally, when this happens, it tends to happen for roughly a quarter of the servers monitored.
Could anyone offer me some insight into this?
Kind Regards,
Chris Hayes
