I have a proxy with approximately 400 hosts on it. A few times a day a subset of servers (5-50) will stop reporting data for a few minutes. I have a trigger that fires when there is no cpu data for 5 minutes.
In the logs on the proxy server:

After a minute or so the data starts to come back in for the hosts.
