im new to the forum but have been using Zabbix in a test environment for a short time, we originally set this up on solaris 10 and have it working internally, I would like to move this to a Ubuntu server 9 platform possible on a vmware image.
Ive stated to do this but come across a problem I have the server up and running but when I click on Configuration/Hosts my hosts all show a status of Unknown (remote hosts) except the local server (Zabbix Server, has a availability of Available).
When upping the debugging on the zabbix_agentd on the remote host I can see:

in the logs (the server log shows this message also)
so it looks to me like its allegadly working yet my hosts show as unavailable.
Can anyone shed any light on this please, the clients they are monitoring are solaris 10 clients all with the 1.6.5 version.
zabbix-proxy is the zabbix server (its not a proxy btw)
