Hi,
I have zabbix 1.6.4 that is monitoring about 1000 devices (20K items) over VPN links.
The devices are spread across the country.
During the times of high latency for some of the remote sites, the queue grows tremendously then we start to receive false positives on the sites that are fine. I think this is mainly do to the queue size and because when you look at the item it starts to show status is unavailable.
In the zabbix_server.conf I have following values set:
StartPollers=45
StartPollersUnreachable=10
StartPingers=20
Timeout=5
TrapperTimeout=30
UnreachablePeriod=60
UnavailableDelay=60
My fist question is, should the Timeout be larger then TrapperTimeout? Are there any other suggestions / options that I could change?
Thanks!
Robert
